IRISH SEA NEAR SELLAFIELD, CUMBRIA

Just a harmless picture of the sea. At one time
the Irish sea in the vicinity of Sellafield Nuclear Reactor was
touted by newspaper headlines as the most radio-active sea
in the world. Sellafield and Windscale is the same place - see
Wikipaedia for more information. I was staying on a farm with
a Dutch landlady whose son had developed leukaemia. She was
an active participant of a group called CORE. They believed, and
many still do, that Sellafield was responsible for the unusually high
incidence of leukaemia in the surrounding area.
